Publica Consulting was established in 2005 by Con Gregg BE, MBA, CMC, a consultant with a long track record of success in delivering important research and consultancy assignments for major public sector clients. Prior to establishing Publica Consulting, Con worked with McIver Consulting, leading and delivering projects for clients including Forfás, FÁS, the Expert Group on Future Skills Needs, the Department of Education and Science, the Higher Education Authority, Enterprise Ireland and IDA Ireland. Highlights include: many projects undertaken for the Expert Group on Future Skills Needs; and the “McIver Report” on organization and resourcing of PLC colleges. Publica Consulting has undertaken a number of important assignments since its establishment. From October 2010 to December 2011, Publica Consulting took a break from offering consultancy services to allow its principal to take up a position with the International Labour Organization (ILO). Con acted as lead researcher on a Joint Management Project between the ILO and European Commission, undertaking research into skills for the transition to the low carbon economy. The three reports produced by the project are available here. Con also contributed to the ILO’s Skills for Trade and Economic Diversification (STED) initiative as the skills expert.
